Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has met with China’s new ambassador Li Xinwei, Armenia's Foreign Minsitry reports.
The ongoing steps and future projects for enhancing the Armenia-China bilateral partnership were discussed at the meeting, the foreign ministry said in a readout.
“Armenia and China are currently in a phase of significant development of their relationship, in terms of high-level political dialogue and partnership in the economy and other areas, and I attach great importance to maximal utilization of existing opportunities,” Mirzoyan said.
Partnership in various international platforms was also discussed.
The FM and the Chinese ambassador exchanged views around international and regional developments.
Both sides underscored the importance of developing mutually-beneficial partnerships in the current period full of uncertainties but also possibilities, the ministry said.
Matters pertaining to the development of the regional connectivity network were discussed, and in this context the interest that has been formed for the Armenian Government’sCrossroads of Peace project was mentioned.
