On July 22, Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States, Lilit Makunts, met with Congressman Brad Schneider (Democrat). The Armenian Embassy in the U.S. reported the meeting.
Congressman Schneider represents the state of Illinois and, as of January 3, 2025, serves as the head of the New Democrat Coalition.
During the meeting, the two discussed prospects for the development of Armenia-U.S. relations and their strategic partnership. They also addressed regional developments in the South Caucasus and the Armenian government’s efforts to normalize relations with neighboring countries.
