On July 21, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Anahit Manasyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia, John Gallagher, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country. This was reported by the Office of the Human Rights Defender.
The Defender thanked the Ambassador for the effective partnership established between the Human Rights Defender’s institution and the UK Embassy.
Anahit Manasyan particularly highlighted the joint programs implemented toward the development of institutional capacities for the protection of human rights, the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups, and the strengthening of the rule of law.
The Ambassador, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Defender for the effective and constructive cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Anahit Manasyan wished Ambassador Gallagher continued success and new achievements in his future endeavors.
