The Armenian Relief Society had organized its annual bazaar at Jerusalem ARF Club. ARS is carrying out a number of humanitarian projects through its central office.
The atmosphere was festive, there were many visitors and the aroma of Armenian dishes simply attracted passersby who could not help entering the Armenian Club. Unfortunately, these types of bazaars are organized inside the community and that’s the reason why many foreigners and tourists don’t visit. Armenian women introduce their hand-made crafts under the festive Armenian music.

The Vicar General of the Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem Aris Archbishop Shirvanyan was also among the guests and was welcomed by the leaders of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation.

Hala Demirchian, Chairman of ARS

“Our annual bazaar was always successful and we hope that this year will not be an exception. This project has a special purpose; we will donate a modest amount to Armenians in Syria, who are now in a bad condition, helping our brothers and sisters via the central office of ARS. Two years ago our office representatives visited Armenia and many of its orphanage houses, providing food to a huge number of orphans. We always participate with donations and personally visit Armenia, as well as support Armenian schools with contributions every year”.
