On March 31, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to our country Michael Mavros.
Welcoming the guest, Arman Yeghoyan highlighted the close cooperation with friendly Cyprus, especially at parliamentary level. In this context, the Committee Chair spoke about the effective interaction between the delegations of the two countries in the various international different organizations and on platforms.
Arman Yeghoyan touched upon the regional developments, talked about the normalization processes of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Armenia-Turkey relations. In that regard, the Committee Chair presented the efforts of the Armenian side for the benefit of the lasting peace and establishment of stability in the South Caucasus.
Thanking Arman Yeghoyan for reception, Michael Mavros presented the latest developments referring to Cyprus and the Cypriot problem, spoke about the challenges and common interests of our two countries. The Ambassador also emphasized the necessity of deepening the bilateral cooperation, noting with satisfaction that year by year the number of citizens of Armenia spending their holidays in Cyprus increases.
