Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand to Armenia, Mark Julian Trainor (residing in Moscow), handed over his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.
According to the Presidential Office, congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, President Khachaturyan expressed hope that his work would contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries and the deepening of ties across various fields.
“Armenia highly values its friendly relations with New Zealand, which are based on shared democratic values, human rights, and the rule of law,” the President noted.
In turn, Ambassador Trainor expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome.
According to the source, the meeting included discussions on effective cooperation across various international platforms and multilateral formats. The two sides also explored prospects for promoting political dialogue and emphasized the importance of interdepartmental contacts to enrich the bilateral agenda.
Ideas were exchanged on practical steps to strengthen ties between the business communities of both countries.
In this context, they discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation, initiatives to improve the business environment, and ways to identify new investment opportunities.
Particular emphasis was placed on steps to realize the potential for cooperation in the high-tech, scientific, educational, and cultural spheres.
