Armenia, Omani Foreign Ministers discuss situation in Middle East


On March 2, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry reports.

The interlocutors discussed the situation in the Middle East. The importance of achieving a peaceful resolution and prioritizing diplomacy was emphasized, in which context the efforts made by Oman were highly appreciated.

Minister Mirzoyan expressed his appreciation for the facilitation of the necessary procedures by Oman and the United Arab Emirates for the return of citizens of the Republic of Armenia to Armenia, and conveyed Armenia’s readiness to provide support, as necessary, on the relocation of Omani citizens.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Oman also touched upon ongoing efforts aimed at expanding the bilateral agenda, emphasizing the significance of the decision adopted by the Government of the Republic of Armenia to open a resident Embassy of Armenia in Muscat, with a view to fully realizing the existing potential between the two countries.
