Armenia’s Foreign Ministry is following the developments in Syria. There are no Armenian citizens among the injured. This was reported to 1Lurer.am by the press secretary of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, Ani Badalyan.
“Armenia’s Consul General in Aleppo is in contact with local authorities and community structures. No change in the content of applications addressed to the consulate by Armenian citizens has been registered in recent days. They mainly concerned current consular issues,” Badalyan said.
The military operation of the new Syrian authorities against the forces loyal to former President Bashar al-Assad has ended, the country’s Defense Ministry announced.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 1,311 people have been killed since March 6, including 231 representatives of the security forces and the Defense Ministry, 250 supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad, and 830 civilians.
Several countries, including the United States, France, and the UN, have called for an independent and transparent investigation to uncover the crimes that occurred.
