A delegation from the Armenian National Assembly (NA), led by Babken Tunyan, deputy chair of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, participated in the 66th Session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
At the event, the organization adopted a joint declaration by the PABSEC on the situation in Gaza and support for humanitarian aid, the NA reports.
Also, members of the NA delegation took part in a general debate dedicated to developing cooperation with the European Union (EU) and other international and regional organizations.
Tunyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to strengthening regional dialogue, promoting sustainable development, and expanding parliamentary cooperation in the Black Sea region, and emphasized Armenia’s continued engagement in constructive multilateral processes for the benefit of regional stability, economic growth, and innovation development. Also, he addressed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and underscored the efforts to establish stability and peace in the region.
