Azerbaijani company receives oil exploration licenses in Israel

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has received licenses to conduct exploration work in Israel.
This was reported by the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov on his account on the social network X.
“As part of a business visit to Israel, together with SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, we took part in a ceremony to award exploration licenses in Block I/6 in Israel’s exclusive economic zone. These licenses are of strategic importance for strengthening SOCAR’s international positions and applying innovative practices,” Jabbarov noted.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog received Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, who is visiting the Jewish state. Mikayil Jabbarov wrote about this on the social network X.
According to the minister, the parties discussed the main directions of Azerbaijani-Israeli relations and issues of economic cooperation.
The Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan also held a meeting with the Minister of Energy of Israel Eli Cohen.
“We discussed initiatives and projects that contribute to strengthening economic ties, the agenda for deepening energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel,” Mikail Jabbarov wrote on the X social network.
