Earthquake 13 km northeast of Jermuk town

A 2.2-magnitude earthquake hit near the resort town of Jermuk in Armenia’s south, according to the seismic protection agency.

No damage was reported.

The Armenian Seismic Protection Agency said in a statement that the quake was recorded 13 km northeast of Jermuk, in Vayots Dzor province, near the international border with Azerbaijan, at a depth of 10 km.

The earthquake measured 2-3 on the MSK scale and was felt in Jermuk and the villages of Kechut and Gndevaz at an intensity of 1-2 MSK.
