Reuters. Hamas handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) the bodies of four Israeli hostages in Gaza’s Khan Younis on Thursday (February 20).
A representative of the ICRC signed documents alongside a masked fighter on a stage that was set up for the handover.
The bodies are said to include those of the youngest hostages – an infant and his four-year-old brother – taken by Hamas in their October 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel.
Thursday’s handover took place under the Gaza ceasefire agreement reached last month with the backing of the United States and the mediation of Qatar and Egypt.
