I had the opportunity to visit Syunik this week and checked in with friends and partners, US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien stated.
“In meetings with Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan and local officials, I discussed regional challenges and opportunities. In Goris, I visited the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) to reinforce U.S. support for Armenia’s territorial integrity and the importance of a lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
I also toured two major U.S.-owned investments—the Contour Global Hydro Cascade and GTB Steel rebar plant—which are driving Armenia’s economic diversification, energy security, and industrial growth through American innovation and technology.
