At the request of Russia, an extraordinary session of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency will be held on June 16 in connection with the strikes by the Israeli Armed Forces on Iran. This was announced by Mikhail Ulyanov, the Russian permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna. The extraordinary session will be held on June 16 in the morning.
Reuters reports that a request for a special session was also received from Iran, which, although not a member of the board, supported the Iranian proposal by several members of the board.
