Israel’s military said on Tuesday it had killed Ali Shadmani, whom it identified as Iran’s wartime chief of staff and said was the most senior military commander.
IDF Spokesperson said Shadmani was close to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In the meantime, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar addressed the Knesset Security Committee and sarcastically advised the next person appointed to the role to “consider carefully”.
