Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran was holding consultations with Oman on a new round of talks with the United States, but Israeli strikes forced Tehran and Washington to deviate from the diplomatic path.
“I was holding consultations with my Omani counterpart about holding a new round of talks with representatives of the US Government, but the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime, when it attacked Iran and killed military leaders and representatives of the academic elite, diverted us from the diplomatic path,” Araghchi said during a telephone conversation with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
