The Israeli military said on Monday (March 16) that its troops had begun limited ground operations against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon in recent days to bolster forward defences, Reuters reports.
The army released a video footage said to show Israeli troops during their operation in Lebanon, adding in a statement that the ‘activity is part of broader defensive efforts to establish and strengthen a forward defensive posture,’ which includes dismantling the infrastructure of Hezbollah’s operating area.
Reuters could not independently verify the location or the date of the video, but no older version of the video was found posted online before March 16, 2026.
