Oman condemned Israel’s attack on Iran, stating that it could lead to a large-scale conflict and hamper negotiations between Washington and Tehran over Iran’s nuclear program, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is acting as a mediator in the negotiating process to resolve the crisis surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, said in a statement.
“The attack came at a particularly sensitive moment, as international efforts to restart nuclear negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States were gaining momentum. This clearly demonstrates a deliberate attempt to undermine the diplomatic process and provoke a broader conflict, which would have catastrophic consequences for regional and international stability,” the statement said.
The sixth round of negotiations between the USA and Iran over Tehran’s nuclear program is scheduled to take place in Oman on June 15.
