Anitta Hipper, Lead spokesperson for the foreign affairs and security policy of the EU referrerd to the issue of Armenian captives in Baku and missing persons during her regular briefing.
“As a general point what we have been doing was always support Armenia in the peace process. We have showed our strong support and we have been working for years with both parties and also international partners to create these conditions for lasting peace.
When it comes to the issue of prisoners, we have been always very clear on the need to resolve this outstanding humanitarian issues including the fate of missing persons and also of the Armenian detainees in Azerbaijan”, Hipper said in response to a question.
