Within the framework of his working visit to Bulgaria, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan met with Atanas Tashkov, Deputy Regional Governor of Plovdiv.
The meeting was also attended by Her Excellency Tsovinar Hambardzumyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Bulgaria, and Artur Hovhannisyan, Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Bulgaria and President of the Union of Armenians of Europe.
The parties highly valued the existing relations between Armenia and Bulgaria and expressed hope that the meeting would contribute to the development and deepening of bilateral cooperation.
A wide range of issues was discussed, including the strengthening of Armenia–Bulgaria relations and the enhancement of collaboration between the Armenian community in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian government.
In his remarks, High Commissioner Sinanyan noted that the Armenian community residing in the Plovdiv region serves as a bridge and plays a key role in the continued development of Armenia–Bulgaria relations.
Deputy Governor Tashkov expressed his gratitude to the local Armenian community for its contribution to the development of the Plovdiv region and conveyed confidence that the brotherly ties between the two peoples would continue to grow.
The meeting also touched on the potential for Armenia–Bulgaria cooperation across various sectors of the economy.
