President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan has met with Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva.
Balayeva is leading a delegation to Armenia on April 18-19 as part of the Kazakhstan Culture Days events.
President Khachaturyan said that such visits not only deepen bilateral ties but also boost the development of the friendly relationship between the peoples, the president’s office said in a readout.
“Culture, as a manifestation of the spiritual identity of peoples, has an exclusive role to bring various nations closer to each other, raise awareness about each other and build bridges of trust,” the Armenian president said.
Minister Balayeva, expressing gratitude for the warm reception, lauded the opportunity to organize the Kazakhstan Culture Days events in Armenia. The minister attached importance to continuity and strengthening of cultural dialogue as a solid pillar for mutual recognition and understanding between peoples.
Balayeva conveyed Easter greetings to the Armenian people, wishing peace and welfare.
The parties exchanged views around directions for deepening cooperation in culture and related areas between the two countries.
“The Armenian president and the Kazakh minister concurred that the most effective way for people to get to know one another is through culture, since culture bears the language of values, mentality and historical memory,” the president’s office said.
