Prime Minister announced unagreed provisions of Peace Treaty

ראש הממשלה הודיע על הוראות הסכם שלום לא מסודרות

The fact that  regular proposals on the peace treaty by Azerbaijan have been received, proves that the process is not at a deadlock, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a briefing with journalists.

“The fact that we have received the 12th edition of the peace treaty is evidence that the process is moving forward. Now, we need to present our proposals,” Pashinyan said.He also noted that the work of the State Commissions on the delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan is ongoing.

“This year, they have already held one face-to-face meeting and one online meeting. We have proposed a solution to the issue, and we hope Azerbaijan will respond positively. According to an objective analysis, there are no grounds to reject this proposal,” he elaborated.

Pashinyan specified that the proposal concerns the restoration of railway cargo connections between Armenia and Azerbaijan – from Western Azerbaijan to Nakhijevan and from Yeraskh to Meghri through the sovereign territory of Armenia. He added that both countries will use these routes through each other’s territory for international cargo shipments.
