Russian drones hit Ukraine's Kharkiv apartment block, say officials

Reuters. Russian drones hit Kharkiv early on Thursday (June 12), damaging an apartment block and hitting school and kindergarten courtyards, according to the mayor.

“As of now, we have 12 wounded, including children,” said Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov.

Both sides deny targeting civilians in the war that Russia launched on its smaller neighbour in February 2022. But thousands of civilians have died in the conflict, the vast majority of them Ukrainian.
