The fourth round of indirect talks between Iran and the US, which concluded in Oman, was difficult but effective, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said.
“It provided an opportunity to better understand each other’s positions and find reasonable and realistic ways to resolve differences of opinion,” he was quoted as saying by Mehr news agency.
Baghaei added that “Oman will coordinate the next round of talks on the nuclear issue and will announce it.”
The Iranian and US delegations were led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Earlier this week, Witkoff said that Washington would stop talks with Tehran if it realized that a good deal was impossible.
Earlier, US Vice President J.D. Vance said that talks between Washington and Tehran on Iran's nuclear program were going well and that the parties were on the right track.
