On June 4, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, Lilit Makunts, met with Congressman Riley Moore (R–West Virginia).
During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the opportunities to deepen the Armenia-U.S. strategic partnership, the ongoing cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries, and U.S.-supported capacity-building programs implemented in Armenia.
Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing lasting and sustainable peace in the South Caucasus. Ambassador Makunts reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to sign the peace agreement negotiated with Azerbaijan.
The conversation also touched on recent regional developments and other international issues of mutual interest.
