Ambassador Makunts discussed prospects for expanding bilateral relations during her meeting with Congressman Mast

On February 27, Lilit Makunts, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, had a meeting with the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Brian Mast (R, Florida).
During the meeting the Ambassador reflected on Armenia-U.S. strategic partnership charter and the perspectives of fostering the bilateral relations.
The Ambassador underscored the importance of further strengthening the relations between the two countries in the context of advancing mutual interests, developing Armenia’s democracy and strengthening its sovereignty.
During the meeting the sides also discussed the recent visit of Armenia’s Prime Minister Pashinyan to the United States and the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process.
