On the sidelines of his official visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a private meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira. The ministers then continued their discussion in an expanded format, with delegations from both countries participating.
According to Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, the two foreign ministers thoroughly discussed various issues and initiatives aimed at expanding the bilateral agenda, deepening political dialogue, and developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Brazil exchanged views on specific opportunities to expand cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, education, innovation, high technologies, and energy.
Both sides emphasized their strong willingness to make joint efforts to promote investment and business ties. Future activities were outlined, with participation from relevant departments and agencies of both countries.
According to the source, the ministers also exchanged views on issues of the international agenda, highlighting their active cooperation on various platforms.
Regarding regional matters, Minister Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s vision for building peace in the South Caucasus, the efforts made toward this goal, including the development and coordination of a draft peace agreement.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is ready to sign a peace agreement with an agreed text, which could serve as a solid foundation for stability and comprehensive peace in the region.
It was noted that the ministers would make statements to the press following the meeting.
