Armenian, US top diplomats hold meeting in Washington

On January 13, in Washington, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Marco Rubio emphasized with satisfaction the active dynamics of the development of the Armenia–U.S. strategic partnership, the implementation of the agreements, the joint initiatives and further prospects.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the U.S. Secretary of State discussed the progress in implementing the agreements of the Washington Peace Summit of August 8, 2025. Both sides emphasized the importance of the further institutionalization of peace and touched upon the steps in that direction.

Minister Mirzoyan made an entry in the book of honorary guests.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the U.S. Secretary of State confirmed the Joint Statement on the Armenia–U.S. Implementation Framework for the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) project, which will be released at 17:00 Washington time as agreed.

On January 14, at 10:00 Yerevan time, Minister Mirzoyan will hold a press conference, during which the Minister will touch upon the main points of the Joint Statement and answer journalists’ questions.
