Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Abisoghomonyan on Monday met with Miguel Angel Moratinos, the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), on the sidelines of the 11th Global Forum of the UNAOC, in Riyadh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reports.
The interlocutors discussed ongoing programs within the framework of the UNAOC and Armenia’s engagement in them.
Views were exchanged on the preservation and protection of cultural heritage, as well as intercultural dialogue and the promotion of youth involvement in various spheres of public life.
Referring to recent regional developments, the Armenian deputy FM emphasized the further strengthening and institutionalization of peace. Also, the importance of implementing the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace initiative and its key component, the TRIPP Route project, was underscored for unblocking infrastructure and promoting transport connectivity in the region on the basis of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction of the countries.
