Erdogan reaffirms support for peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan

The presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan met on the sidelines of the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization summit. According to a statement from the Turkish side, Recep Erdogan reaffirmed support for the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“Turkey is closely following the Yerevan-Baku peace talks. We hope that the treaty will be signed soon,” Erdogan stressed.

The parties also noted that the brotherly and strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are developing successfully in all areas.

Erdogan reiterated that Turkey is always by Azerbaijan’s side on all issues.
