Estonia plans to open Embassy in Yerevan

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that his country will open an embassy in Yerevan this year.

In a post on X, Tsahkna said he spontaneously met his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Brussels.

“Brussels has a way of bringing people together. A spontaneous catch-up with my dear friend, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. If not sooner somewhere else, we’ll meet again when Estonia opens its embassy in Yerevan this year,” Tsahkna said, posting a photo with FM Mirzoyan, who is on a visit to Brussels.

FM Mirzoyan responded to the post, saying: “Always a pleasure to see my dear friend Margus Tsahkna. Be it a formal meeting or a spontaneous conversation, we find a topic of mutual interest to take Armenia-Estonia partnership a step forward. Looking forward to welcoming you in Yerevan soon, including for the opening of Estonia’s embassy.”
