EU’s Special Representative welcomes Gyumri-Kars railway rehabilitation efforts


EU Special representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Magdalena Grono referred to the joint efforts by Armenian and Turkish governments on re-establishing railway connection between the two countries.

“Warmly welcome today’s meeting of the Joint Armenia-Turkey Working Group for rehabilitation and operationalisation of the Gyumri-Kars railway. The EU fully supports this new important step in the development of connectivity opportunities in the region and towards full-fledged Armenia-Turkey normalization” Grono said in a post on X.
