The Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Ms. Anahit Manasyan congratulated the representatives of the Kurdish community in Armenia on the occasion of Newroz.
“Dear representatives of the Kurdish community in Armenia,
I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of Newroz, the New Year.
May this holiday that symbolizes spring, bring peace, health and happiness to the Kurds living in Armenia.
I constantly emphasize that the protection of the rights of national minorities is one of the key priorities of my work, and in this context, I attach importance to guaranteeing the rights of people belonging to national minorities to preserve their national and ethnic identity as well as the traditions, religion, language and culture.
As the Human Rights Defender, I consider it a priority to unite all of our efforts in ensuring and effectively protecting the rights of national minorities in Armenia.”
