On June 11, the regular session of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Issues of Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons (whereabouts unknown) was held under the chairmanship of Armen Abazyan, Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia. The NSS reported this.
The session began with the opening speech of the Chairman of the Commission, Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia A. Abazyan. He presented the results of the meetings held in the period preceding the session, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to continue the complex and coordinated work aimed at clarifying the fates of the missing.
Representatives of the Investigative Committee presented to the Commission the results of the investigation conducted by the Committee into the circumstances of the disappearances.
Then discussions were held on how to organize the Commission’s work more effectively.
At the end of the session, the Chairman of the Commission, Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia A. Abazyan expressed hope that the joint and coordinated work will bring tangible results aimed at clarifying the fates of the missing.
