Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Assyrian New Year, in which she states:
“Dear representatives of the Assyrian community in Armenia,
I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of Hab-Nisani, the Assyrian New Year.
May this holiday bring peace, health, prosperity, and happiness to the Assyrians living in Armenia. I always emphasize that the protection of the rights of national minorities is one of the important directions of my work, and in this context, I stress the importance of guaranteeing the rights of individuals belonging to national minorities to preserve their national and ethnic identity, as well as the preservation and development of their traditions, religion, language, and culture.
As the Human Rights Defender, I consider it a priority to unite all our efforts to ensure and effectively protect the rights of national minorities in Armenia.”
