Following the solemn welcoming ceremony for Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan at the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, a private meeting between the defense ministers of Armenia and Georgia commenced, which then continued in an expanded format with delegations, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reports.
The meeting was also attended by Ashot Smbatyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia.
During the meeting, issues related to the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense were discussed.
The parties also touched upon a number of issues related to regional security.
