Trump’s maximum pressure will not contribute to US-Iran talks: Mohajerani

Թրամփի հայտարարած առավելագույն ճնշումը չի նպաստի ԱՄՆ-ի հետ Իրանի բանակցություններին. Մոհաջերանի
Tehran refuses to negotiate with Washington because the US does not understand the language of diplomacy, said Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesperson of the Iranian government.
“Negotiations imply conditions. The language of force is not part of the negotiation process, and the declared maximum pressure does not contribute to negotiations in any way. We [i.e. Iran] say no to negotiations with the other side, as they do not understand the language of diplomacy. The world saw that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed as a result of Iran’s efforts, but everything ended with their unilateral withdrawal [from this deal],” the Iranian government spox emphasized at a press conference.
Responding to a question about the possible imposing of new sanctions on Tehran by Washington, Mohajerani noted that the policy of maximum pressure by the US was predictable, and the Iranian government has an action plan in this regard.
