Two Armenians were killed in clashes in the Syrian city of Latakia. The victims were father and son Antoine and Fati Putros. This was reported by Zarmik Poghikyan, a correspondent for ‘Lurer’ in Syria.
In recent days, the most massive clashes have been recorded in Syria since the fall of Bashar Assad’s rule. Hundreds of people have already been killed. The clashes are mainly taking place in the province of Latakia, where a large number of Alevis, who were the pillar of Assad’s rule, live.
The head of the Syrian transitional government, Ahmad Ash-Sharaan, has called on Assad’s supporters to lay down their arms.
