US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State attends commemoration ceremony for victims of Armenian Genocide

On April 24, on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a ceremony of commemoration and tribute to the holy martyrs was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the United States. The event was attended by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Russia, the Caucasus, and European Security and Political Affairs Sonata Coulter, as well as representatives of other government bodies, the diplomatic corps, and the Armenian community.
According to the Embassy, Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan delivered remarks at the event, and prayers were offered by Archbishop Vigen Aykazian, Diocesan Legate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Eastern Diocese of the United States, and Reverend Father Hovsep Karapetyan.
