Crimea bans petrol sales to everyone except authorities

The Russian occupation authorities in Crimea have announced new restrictions on petrol sales, under which fuel can no longer be purchased by anyone except representatives of the administration.
“From 09:00 today, 21 June, the sale of fuel at Crimean petrol stations has been suspended for both cash and cashless payments, as well as for purchases using ration coupons, for both individuals and legal entities,” head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov said.
Fuel will be supplied only to state services, he added.
Some residents of Crimea and Sevastopol were also left without electricity due to damage to power grids. Emergency restoration work is underway at the affected sites. A temporary power outage schedule has been introduced in Sevastopol.
The closure of the Crimean Bridge has caused disruptions to railway traffic, with eleven trains bound for Crimea running behind schedule. The bridge is now open, but hundreds of vehicles are still required to wait for nearly two hours to cross.
