First Large-Scale Industrial Solar Power Plant Commissioned in Armenia

The first large-scale industrial solar power plant in Armenia, “Masrik-1”, has been commissioned. It is located in the Gegharkunik Province. The plant has a design capacity of 55 MW and is expected to produce around 130 million kWh of electricity annually. This was reported by the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia.

According to the decisions adopted by the PSRC, the “Masrik-1” solar power plant operated by FRV Masrik has entered the phase of electricity production and has been granted a tariff.

“Masrik-1” is not only a significant investment in the energy sector but also a key component of Armenia’s development of renewable and clean energy sources.
